In great excitement we flew from Berlin Schönefeld to London Stansted.
Our Hotel Motel one Hill was only 20 minutes from the London Bridge. We did a Bus Tour and a Boat Tour. Many sights and great impressions we got from London. Our teacher Kate organized the trip and gave us a lot of information. I liked it, a trip with Mortimer Club is always worthwhile.
A big thank you to Kate !!!

OUR TRIP TO LONDON
Unfortunately the four days in London are already over.
We had wonderful days there, perfectly prepared and organized by our English teacher Kate. Our hotel was very central, near Tower Bridge.
After we moved into our rooms, it was already on tour. We walked to the bus stop on the Tower Bridge and drove to the Piccadilly Circus. From there it was on foot to Soho. From there we looked at China town. We went to have dinner in a seafood restaurant. This is a special restaurant – all reminiscent of Forrest Gump. The entire decoration was from the film Forrest Gump.
On Saturday we went hop-on hop-off across the city. We got to know a lot of sights. We took a break in Notting Hill. It is a place with many small interesting shops. Where we could buy something.
The next day we ran past the tower to Tower Bridge. For me it was a great experience to stand on the Tower Bridge and experience how it opened to let a ship pass.
We had the opportunity to use the bus on the red and the blue line hop-on hop-off Sightseeing Tour. We did that extensively for two days. This included a boat trip on the Thames.
We docked at Greenwich Pier, right next to the Marine museum. From there we ran to the hill of the Royal Observatory. There ist London’s only planetarium. We had good weather, so a great view over the skyline of London.
Back we drove again with the Thamesboat to Westminster, past Big Ben and with good views to the London Eye.
On Sunday we visited Kensington Garden. From here you could see the Kensington Palace.
In the evening we take a night hop-on hop-off bus to the Piccadilly Circus. After some attempts we landed in a small pub.
Everyone had their free time in London the last day. Dagmar and I looked around the city and in some shopping malls. Then we go in a little café to eat.
With packed suitcases and many interesting impressions we drove to the airport in the afternoon. Then we went back to Berlin.
I’ve been so well for these four days that I’m sure – I’ll be back !!
Thank you Kate
